Followers or Dancers

Okay, so the other day a friend and I go dancing. We love to dance and have a good time. No we don't like to pick up guys, and no we didn't wear dresses and stilettos nothing but the best of the best, a shirt, a belt, and some polka dot ballet flats. We didn't leave our groove at home, so thinking there was not much a crowd why not bust a move?

Lame crowds sitting on the corner creepy eyed and bored. I think it defeats the purpose of going dancing if you ask me. Anyhoo two young ..shall we say "i think I'm hot" type girls get on the dance floor after the crowd picks up and starts pointing and laughing at my friend and I.

Needless to say I'm having too good of a time to notice, they leave and we keep dancing. Why people are mean beats me maybe insecurities, maybe they're angry, or maybe they're just not blessed with kind nature (it is an effort for some people).
Low underhanded comments will do no good for this danceholic baby. So remember peeps whether there is a crowd or not, be the leader and do your thing, pay no mind to negative energy and keep on dancing!

Speaking of which, "those dancing days" are a kickass group if you like this genre of music, indie pop happy. Doesn't conform but makes ya wanna dance don't it?

Happy and Proud

Follow my blog with bloglovin

Ahhh nothing taste and feels better then a dose of feeling proud. Have you ever done something and attempted to accomplish? Are there goals you've set and have reached almost half way?
Everyone has set goals for themselves. Even things such as learning to tie your shoes, to learn more about computers, or when things are going according to your daily plans.

The problem with humanity is that we don't give ourselves enough credit or any credit at all. Thinking they're frivolous and not large enough of an achievement. EVERYTHING can be an achievement right down to the very last drop. It all comes down to your own perception but give it some self thought. It takes effort to plan your day, get up and go to work, or to begin an exercise routine. Whatever it is give yourself a little credit and continue what you started. Be proud of yourself regardless of what people may say.

Even if you've done something wrong it takes effort to admit it and to go through any type of criticism. Eventually wrong doings will have consequences and hopefully one has learned from the mistakes. Despite what others think, the least you can do for yourself is say "I am PROUD".

what are YOU waiting for?!

Do you guys find that we're always waiting for things? Waiting for the chance, waiting for that moment, waiting for destiny, waiting for deadlines, and as a part of living we are ALWAYS waiting. Sometimes you don't wait, sometimes you procrastinate, sometimes you put things off because of fear or it's just plain laziness. Whatever it is why can't we just go ahead, go forward and go for things! Why wait? the rest of the world is continuous but you're at a standstill.

If you want to do something be the Nike and just DO IT. Nobody will do things for you, nobody will ever have the same desires or want like you do. You have the passion for it so why wait until a friend does something with you and why wait till someone agrees. (keeping in mind that its non harmful to others) but asides that just go for it and go at it with your utmost energy. You have nothing to lose, if you feel like skydiving then go skydiving, if you want to swim then swim, if you want to join a roller derby team than heck JUST DO IT. Don't wait around because chances are too few and far in between.

You make your life, you choose your chances, and you create your destiny. Greater opportunities may arise but in the mean time why sit around and wait? Give life your greatest shot you have nothing to lose, go forth and kick some ass!

For the Love of God, Let it Go!

Why is it so damn hard to let things go. Why do we dwell on things that are so unnecessary? If something already happened then why do we still think about them? Everyone does it but the real question is how do we forget them? I figure maybe listening to music and exercising is a good way to keep the mind occupied. It's so much more peaceful to let the mind relax then to think about why he or she is like this and that. like......who cares! Just let the damned thing go. If you're mad about something, you're mad at that moment but the day after just LET IT GO. yea i know easier said then done, yet once it has already happened the moment won't reoccur. Life is harder in itself, work is stressful than it really is, and we can't get along with everybody but regardless we just gotta let it go!

In The Arms of a Good Man

You know the phrase "can't live with them, can't live without them?" There is no in between, so the phrase just doesn't count. It's one or the other, I think you pick one, you choose, and you live with the choices made. Depending on the circumstance the decision is a good or a bad one. For me, I've made many bad choices in my life, but one ultimate great one. It is to be with the one that stands by my side and supports me at all costs.

I'm weak, vulnerable, sensitive and high energy he is strong, optimistic and calm. We fight, we argue, we disagree. We overcame complications in our relationship with continuing obstacles to come. I'm truly blessed and lucky for having loved and being loved. I would not change what I have for any amount luck and fortune.

However, if you are single and looking for that special someone don't be discouraged. It's understandable that you'll start to feel frustrated and disapproved, but none of that means anything. Fate, time, patience, opportunity, and choices all create the ideal situations in meeting that special someone. Don't stand still in the momentum of things. Continue to give life your best and when you least expect it something wonderful will happen. Strangely enough life sometimes works that way as I have learned.

Running for Your Life

Okay so you're running: you got chores to do, homework to complete, pay the bills, wax body hair, iron your clothes and show up to work on time. There's no time for breaks because in that time you could have finished errands and in this time you're anxious, stressed, angry, overwhelmed, frustrated and mad at the world! So like what the hell right? Who doesn't feel this way? Life itself is an on going chore.

Everything becomes so task oriented we forget the joys left in life. Just take the time to just breath. Take a few moments to relax, eat, or play with your kids. Ask for help when necessary, there's no sin in that. At the end of the day those errands will be done, your homework will be handed in by the deadline, and family and friends are satisfied by helping. Life is an on going chore, but what's the point if you forget to enjoy it?

Hello Friend

So what is a friend? someone that tells you what you want to hear? tells it to you straight? someone you can depend on? Sometimes you meet a great friend that is there permanently, sometimes you meet friends that come and go. You may have long time friendships that end up fading, and sometimes you rekindle long lost friendships.

In the end for me good friends are those who I can depend on and are willing to ask me for the same in return. Friends have helped me through work, school, and life. It is a tragedy that I've lost touch with some friends for whatever reason, but I thank them for all the kindness that they've given.

Regardless life will move on <3

Self Thoughts. Immaculate thoughts

In a cafe, drinking coffee and chatting. A nice looking girl walks by. My friend looks...she states "Man I wish I was her". A girl in my class thinks that she is too old for education, wishing she was one of the younger students. Sure, we all have our regrets, we all have things we don't like about ourselves, and we all want to be kind, less gossipy, more skinny, more happy, bigger eyes, blue eyed, hot, popular ..and the list goes on.

If you spend more time focusing on the list mentioned above, I can tell you that you've wasted too much brain cells on frivolous bullshit. Whatever happened to...

"I wish I am me"

These five words speak the loudest of all my thoughts. It is created in the way you hold yourself in this world. It is your every being, the way you talk, the way you think, the way you dress, the way you feel...it is the way you are. Improve your self esteem but do not exceed the line of conceit.

What kind of things will make you mentally, physically, and psychologically happier? For me I've learned to set goals for myself . I enjoy knowing that I have goals set to achieve, such as rock climbing, paragliding, traveling, renovating and joining "Doctors without borders". An association that gives aid in less fortunate countries. My goals, My thoughts, My feelings, My aura, My energy, It is what I love, and It is what makes me enjoy being me. It is also you...it's about time you "wish you were you".

Grain of Salt

So here's the thing; some try hard to be kind individuals, some don't even try but secretly wants acknowledgment and appreciation. Every single being on this earth have personalities according to their backgrounds and experiences, thus it is impossible for everyone to get along. Although it is important to be civil and polite, one must understand that some people are the way they are.

Gossip may start, rumors, dislike. and anger are primary concepts to hatred. However, if one says something you dislike either talk to them about it, or just
take it with a grain of salt. It is less important to dwell on the unimportant things, and more important to focus on the positive aspects.

Living a happy lifestyle, focus on freeing the soul, and enhance positive outlook on life. We all live one life why not make it the best life possible? Think to yourself will these poor actions and comments really affect my life? It is how one judges and perceives things negatively, will they be truly negative.

mislead sign?

So my friend and i reside in this small town for school. I made assumptions and labeled this town as "boring". Yet despite my knowledge there were many activities that go on in this town. One of them was a Christmas function for families designed mainly for children. This Ol' Christmas had arts and crafts, pony rides, and hot caramel dipped in ice, creating what is called a sugar cones. There were lots of tobogganing children and snow all around. It was a nice atmosphere.

Heather and I decide to buy tickets and go on a "hay ride". A sign specifically stating that it is a "hay ride". After 45 minutes of waiting and surrounded by children (we were the only adults), the ride finally stops as we are ready to board. Low and Behold the hay ride:

The only tractor hay ride i've ever seen?!

Truth to Beauty

Distorted perceptions of oneself is one's own enemy. I've come to realize that people and [especially women] are currently becoming more obsessed with body image. Ever heard someone say "you've got cankles", "you should lose a little weight", "I want to fit in my new bikini"..etc etc. This obsession has become broken rails steering the momentum of body image in the wrong direction. I fully support the notion of exercise. prevention of illness, and improvement of health. However, many have lost enjoyment of life, and poor health due to harm causing diets. Eat what you will so long as you do not over do it. Make the most out of life as it is meant to be enjoyed. So come together as a nation and say so what if I have cankles, So what if I have some weight, So what if I like to eat, and So what if you won't accept my beauty. Accept your body as it is and keep healthy. They argue that if you look good you feel good, yet whatever happened to if you feel good you will look good??

Expectations

Sometimes we forget that others act according to their own experiences and their own minds. You cannot expect others to react to a situation similar to your own actions. Everyone has expectations.

If you are kind to others you want others to be kind to you. If you give someone a gift you want others to give to you. This does not necessarily apply to all individuals, but the truth of the matter is most people do expect the same treatment in return. Despite your actions, others will act according to their own personalities.

No individual is the same, no individual has the same experiences, and no individual learns the same way. Regardless of your actions do not expect it back, otherwise it will lead to disappointment and anger. If you give someone a gift, do it from your heart and do not want things in return. Of course we treat others as we would want to be treated, but if it doesn't happen do not be angry. Instead move on and understand the situation. Expectations comes from self assumptions. Learn from others and give wholehearted kindness, naturally it will return to you, even if it is not from the person you most expected.

Junkie Thoughts

Okay, so everyone has feelings. Some people are happy, some who are sad, and some who are just pissed right out of their minds. What makes a person so mad right? You ask yourself, what is it that makes me mad or what gets me down. Different experiences trigger different responses, and some are more stressful than others. So we're allowed to have bad days but how long could one go on sulking and wallowing in stupid self pity?

I think again....when the sink is broke fix it! You think to yourself "oh this guy dumped me"..."these girls talk about me"..."I got a bad mark" and "life is so unfair" blah blah and la la la. Why waste time on worthless junk? It expends too much emotional energy and creates too much bullshit for the mind. Its like watching old reruns of 90210 for a very long ..long......long time.

Save yourself the time and the trouble. Remember, you can have your bad days but ensure yourself to move on, force yourself to feel motivated even though you are not. Crappy days will come and go but you're still alive, you're still here, and you're still living. You've been given the chance to fix things, and to live life when others cannot. Consider it a privilege!

Understanding Compassion

The other day I came across a homeless man begging for money. He was young, sturdy, but poor, and dirty. From one to another he asked, he begged, and was was thrown a few quarters, a few dimes and a couple dollars here and there. He then comes across this woman, this woman asks him "why are you not working?". She then goes on to tell him that he is not contributing to society and ranting and raving words that wouldn't even exist in a book of curses...she could've just said "no" and moved on. The man left......
The other day I came across a homeless man. He was older, yet sturdy, poor and dirty. He did not ask for money, instead he lays in the grass on an abandoned lot. He might have begged for money and thrown a few dollars here and there...but I can't say that for sure. He slept in front of a Chinese restaurant. A business man, well dressed, and nicely groomed goes to this restaurant and sees this older homeless man. Instead of ignoring, or throwing him a couple o' bucks, the man takes this homeless man to the restaurant and asks him "what would you like to eat".. The people around the restaurant glared; the owners upset and the customers scared. Ignoring the rest of the world, the homeless man chooses his meal, and the business man chose his. The homeless man left...said "thank you you done a lot for me" and ate his meal on the abandoned lot....the business man ate in the restaurant.

Yes, there will be stereotypes, prejudices, and discrimination but does that give other humans rights to point fingers and put blame on others? Does it help? and would it fix the dilemma?
Although it would be nice to have less homeless rates for all humanity there will always be people who fall on hard times. People go through difficult circumstances which make it hard to get back on track. Ask yourself is it easy to find jobs when you look dirty with no place to bathe? Is it easy to get a job when you have no previous experience? it's not to say you must buy a meal for every homeless person but it also does not mean one must make assumptions that one is a lazy booze drinking individual. Have some compassion, help others if possible, and understand the situation prior to judgment. We are all humans in this spinning wonder world, not anything greater nor anything less.

Asian Translation

The English language:..difficult to learn, difficult to understand. Coming from a Chinese Vietnamese background I understand that it is not always easy to learn English and the implied meanings, with all the verbs, nouns, and adjectives etc etc. Every language has its beauty as well. However attempting to translate Chinese character into English proves to be challenging. During my trip to the grocery store, this picture certainly took the the mother of all literal meanings. What in the world ...idiot fish?
Despite the strangeness..it made me laugh and it made my day!

TAOISM

*pause music before playing video*

Seasons change, personalities change, and our processes of thinking changes. One thing I realized however, is that one's religious belief are strong and rigid to change. Religion has been one of the most controversial topics that has existed for centuries. These differences in this day in age are not emphasized as much as previous generations. For example, my friends and family consists of those who are Christians, Catholics, Muslims, and I myself am a Buddhist. Similar concepts stem from all religions, or so to my understanding.

Some beliefs follow family religions, some research religions to find common ground, and some just belief for the sake of believing. Regardless of reasons we all strive to become better beings, to learn, to grow, to reach complete understanding and liberation. Buddhism and Taoism philosophy "fits" most with my ideals, guiding my values, way of life, and my belief in karma, Zen, and reincarnation.

There are various theories to explain the existence of humans, and the significance is knowing that it is all subjective. There are multiple realities to each individual's thinking, and so we must not create controversy, argue, or fight over truth based on unproven thoughts.

My visit to the temple in Vancouver B.C

"the essence of life shall never be known by a human being as long as that person seeks to observe life like a viewer and subject. The absolutely essential nature of life can only be comprehended by merging fully with the flow of life, so that one is utterly part of it"

Ok Happi!!

Ohiyo Fellow humans! What a wonderful morning!! Its super sunny with snow on the ground..YES its winter, its not cold but rather warm and happy. It has been a long time since i've written. School and work and family pretty much has taken up most of my time. I miss writing although i'm not great at it, but nonetheless i still like it.

Remember folks, this blog is about the happy things in life. I won't lie stress is inevitable and it will always be there but it's how we learn cope. Think about what you enjoy doing? For example: ilike drawing, music, reading at coffee shops, traveling. Things i would like to do is skydive, snorkeling, and climb the Himalayas. If I ilike it i will do it. What about you?

The other day a friend and i went to go watch a horror movie. Boy was it ever creepy! My friend was definitely a good sport...she was not a horror movie fan but still willing to give it a go. In the end our arms were sore from pulling each other, and with popcorn all over our seats and jackets. Despite the goriness it was awesome!

All I gotta say is if your having a stressful and negative day grab a friend and do something you enjoy. If you don't have friends go out and make some!! They are a source of positive energy, they listen to your bulls**t, and they are always on your side no matter what! If i have anything to say it'd be ::LIFE IS GOOD:: If it's not, whats stopping you from making it good?

::Compliments make you Feel GoOd::

Hello again readers. It has been quite some time since i have written in a blog. I've put everything on pause because of school, work and blah blah. Right..Life got in the way, anyhoo I miss writing. I partially gave up thinking "who would actually read this stuff?" but the other day a friend stated that she currently checks for new postings, and asked why I had stopped writing. Oh Boy did it ever feel good to hear that. I have a total of three readers but hey they're still readers. It feels good to know that
